VOLCANO RAMEN @ northpoint city

Volcano Ramen.. indeed it taste different from the normal ramen we always eat
and we chose soup base tt is unusual..
Kazan Curry @$18.80++
curry is not very spicy, like normal Jap curry, comes with Cha shu, abit of bean sprouts and cabbage

Hinomaru Tomato Kazan 🍅 @ $15.80++
comes with a whole tomato 🍅 with skin removed, some cabbage and lots of bean sprouts.. no meat served
thick ramen is being used and the texture is just nice.. not too soft nor too hard

both ramen comes with a hard boiled egg 🥚 and some shredded cheese 🧀 served separately
served in a hotpot, the sauce is poured and covered.. while waiting, seeing the smoke oozing out from the top of the cover, you will get to smell the soup 😋 especially the curry one

heres how you should do it.. but the staff is helpful and friendly to assist
all volcano ramen comes with rice 🍚.. which is served after we have finished the ramen... so leave some soup!
the rice is really nice!!😍 it's sticky and taste different from typical Jap rice...
posters states that the rice were self grown in Shiga Prefecture... must try!!!
heres the menu
I see ppl eating the normal ramen too..
but I will definitely come back again for the volcano ramen..

LIVE TURTLE AND TORTISE MUSEUM

do you like tortoises? 🐢🐢🐢🙋‍♀️
heard of Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum in Singapore only when there's a news that they are looking for a new location which was previously at Chinese Garden

now they are located at the North, abt 10mins walk from Khatib MRT
my husband suggested going for a visit knowing tt I will definitely like it! and he is right! we spent abt 2hrs there watching and feeding the tortoises.. they are so cute!!!! 😍😍😍 you get to feed the large tortoises, and the terrapins in the pond...
entrance is not very visible, just a small door which is easily mistaken as a store door or resting area for construction site
entrance fees applies at $10
special price for children 6 years and below and seniors 60 years and above
its definitely worth it!
you can feed the tortoises too!
you can get a small bunch of veg like this at $2 (for the large tortoises)
or $2 a small container of tortoise dry food (for those in the pond)
no outside food allowed
this is where the tortoises are
quite a variety species of tortoises, some in tanks that I believe is more aggressive ones...
place is sheltered for the tortoises and partly sheltered for the us
they are all it their own "house" but the wall is low.. so you can still reach to touch and feed them with the veg

this is the biggest.. by itself
"xiao-hei" is its name

this is the only one that out.. yes, you got to touch them, take as many photos as you like... I wonder if they know tt you are touching them 🤔
not sure why only one is out.. maybe cos its a weekday?
and they are very gentle animals, so please be gentle to them too!
this is an area with tortoises and turtles in tanks, quite a variety.. and you cant feed nor touch them

this is the terrapins pond
more than half of them are out to "sun-tan" and so relaxing 😎

theres 2 ponds for them and be careful... they cross the footpath to reach another pond

they enjoy stacking on each other.. dont know why but they are really gentle and friendly no fighting though this one jammed the path and the rest are in the water "queueing" 😅
this another group of tortoises.. its enclosed and i believe they bite?.. its unreachable but you can still feed them with veg
they seems to me more hungry then the rest.. you will see them trying munch as much veg as they can at a fast speed.. who says tt tortoises are slow?

on uneven level, they were at the "pond" area but after they saw veg, you will see them climbing towards you as a group... so cute!!
im lucky enough to witness the house cleaning and this is where the terrapins are most excited abt... i not sure why but they were just running ard

and even crossing to another pond
see you again!

what is special is the cream sauce... spaghetti feels home cooked
spinach chicken gratin @ $5.90
penne covered with white sauce and some chicken
garlic focaccia @ $2.20
served hot, and the garlic makes it smells great!
Italian omelette @ $3.90
it's just steam egg with mushroom, ham and potato wedges

HAWKERMAN @ singpost centre

so many food choices at Paya Lebar and so is the crowd
Singpost Centre is so much less crowded than PLQ, but whenever we go, Aston is forever long long q...
This restaurant looks good with a queue too so we shall give it a try
this restaurant combines of 3 stalls.. Tenderfresh, Warong Kim, Ah Boy Popiah
serving a wide variety such as Fried Spring Chicken, Popiah, Hokkien Mee, Nasi Lemak, Pasta, Carrot Cake....
and we chose these 3 dishes

of so many choices, we chose these to try.. seems like nasi lemak and spring chicken is the popular dish... i see most table has either one
tom yum nasi lemak @ $10.90+
served with a drumstick, half an egg, peanuts, ah za and coconut rice.. chicken is tender with mild spicy tom yum sauce but I guess there's msg in this dish 😔
Original popiah @ $3.90+
ok picture looks great, but I don't really like it...
filling (turnip and some egg) is so soggy... doesnt have the crunchiness of the turnip
Peanuts and sauce is only what you see at the top.. prefer those I get from coffee shop
Carrot Cake @ $6.90+ looks really special! But it's really carrot cake presented in this special form... I like the chilli though and the other is topped with cheese cream
yes, the inside is normal carrot cake with egg, coated with "skin" pan fried
no service charge, only GST applies

Korean food!! 🇰🇷
Who doesn't like Korean food?! I'm a fan after eating Yoogane
Saw this Korean restaurant when shopping at Clementi Mall few weeks ago and there's a branch at Suntec City so we came for lunch today... And we are not disappointed!! 😍😍
For a price of $18.80++, eat as much as you like..but with a time limit of 90mins... and yes they do time!
There's a quite a wide variety... Veg, meat, shrooms, noodles....
There are 2 parts to the meal... You will first have this "steam boat" with the chosen sauce.. we had Mild Spicy Kimchi Base Sauce.. the spiciness is acceptable to me being unable to take much spicy food
Using our phone, we can order whenever we need
After tt, proceed to order fried rice! At this stage, the soup have to be free from all the ingredients.. and order fried rice on the phone web... By confirming this action, most of the ingredients will not be available
Cooked items will still be available
Select steam rice 🍚, and we got all the ingredients --- seaweed, luncheon meat, corn, kimchi
The staff were friendly!
A very big ➕ point is tt the food is not salty and the sauce does not contain much msg
Especially like the fried chicken and QQ noodles, and all the other ingredients were nice with the soup 😍😍
