Some new restaurants... And it's long q as usual for a Fri evening...

This is one of the new restaurants, serving mostly ramen, fried rice, Don

We had this set meal for 2 @ $25.80++ with 2 mains, 1 side and 2 drinks

Tonkotsu kiou ramen ($14.50++).. nice thick soup, not too oily or salty, 2 piece char siew, onsen egg, "veg".. noodle is chewy

My husband actually prefers So ramen... But I prefer this... Soup base is thicker!

Chashu cube don ($9.90++).. Japanese rice with char siew and an egg.. it's not hot stone, so cannot compare with my favourite at Kallang Wave mall.. it's still good.. but find it too meaty and the meat is abit more on the salty side.. overall still good...

Gyoza is normal... It's actually more pan fried compared to others, making it nicer

The next time I will want to try the tomato soup base ramen with cheese 😁

chose the flat crust, and it's really thin

like the cereal and the cheese..

its nice! some fine bits of strawberry, stir it up to pink drink

the poster looks really good ya, so different from the real thing but its still so nice.... I should say this is the nicest pizza I had from Pizza Hut!

Staycation hotel Royal Queens

using rediscoverSG voucher of $80, this is our first stayca... at HOTEL ROYAL QUEENS it cost $115 (before voucher) for a night stay w/o breakfast

clean toilet with basic toiletries

and a small bath tub.. but no rain shower though

not a very atas room, but still quite comfortable

TV with mediacorp channels and some international channels

a desk and a sofa

Our stayca few days ago at Royal Queens with our SG rediscovery voucher

Very convenient location, at Central area, 5-10mins walk to Bugis

Room is clean except for the wall lamp.. yes, dust so thick that I see

Overall the room is ok, with toiletries, bath tub, TV, king bed

But at a price of $100+, can't expect much... 

No breakfast, a small gym and small pool

Bugis, so much food to choose from and it's near Albert food centre!

7 eleven is just opposite, but I don't like the ice cream... Cookies and cream is like vanilla, chocolate royale has a weird taste.... So disappointed

Tarts for our dinner cos of the lunch buffet, too full to eat main course so saw this shop at basement of bugis junction... Looks good! And taste good too!

Chocolate and banana $3.60 the banana is abit soft, prefer the chocolate on top

Coconut mango tart $3.40 yes, there coconut filling inside!

Lemon meringue $3.60 abit sourish and slightly too sweet but still like it

The tart is not the hard or "crispy" type... Abit too soft but still nice... 😋😋😋

One ++ point abt stayca is to enjoy breakfast!! Yes, definitely won't wake up early in the morning and travel for abt an hr for breakfast...

So here we are, early in the morning at Albert Centre, just opposite bugis street

packed on a Sat morning, and long q for quite a few stores... Chose this 2 stores

Carrot cake, looks good ya.. the white $2.50, quite normal... It's the black $3 tts nice! Sweet sauce and charcoal smell

There's 3 sizes, and both we had are small and the portion bus quite alot.. will definitely come back for the black one...

Chee Chong fun, 2pcs $2.. it's not really nice leh.. I see alot of ppl eating their yam kueh And charcoal fried bee hoon, but it's sold out le, at abt 9am+ it's does looks nice lah

Be prepared to q for at least 20mins each stall

It's just across bugis junction, Korean bingsu shop, there's toast too!

Before 1pm and it's alr half taken... After awhile, it's full house.. yes at lunch time....

Lots of options to choose from, and we tried the Oreo bingso @ $15

Shoved ice till so fine, topped with thick Oreo cookies, white cream and the inside has oreo too!!! 😍😍😍😍

Will definitely come back to try the other flavors and also the toast

We are back for more Korean buffet!

Kimchi, Korean fried chicken and Korean fried rice

Tried a different soup base today, signature soup extra mild spicy.. ok it's really not spicy at all haha but there's still chilli in there

Hmm, can't really tell what is the sauce made up of.. it's not bad, worth a try

Double portion of enoki mushroom, ramyeon, fish skewers, honey soy fried chicken, original fried chicken

Also had rice cake, sweet potato rice cake.. they are nice! Veg, clams, chicken, carrots, onions....

And end it with our favourite fried rice... Portion today is lesser.... But the staff didn't cook for us.... Have to admit that cooking it ourselves is really different... Yes though the ingredients and everything else is the same

Nice!!! But somehow not as satisfied  this time round.... cos of the fried rice? Or cos ate too many times? 🤔

After this, we are heading to staycation!

located along a PCN in a community centre, always 🚲🚲 pass and it's always packed, so we decided to give it a try yesterday... By foot, it's quite a long walk though

Really not very accessible by public transport...

Quite a big place with indoors and outdoor seats serving different cuisine...

read reviews that only the Chinese food is good, but we don't see ppl eating them.. so weird 🤔

wanted to try the pizza 🍕 but the wait was 1hr + .. imagine the crowd..

in the end we chose grilled chicken and basil pesto

this was way beyond expectation! Yes! I go like "waa" cos I'm expecting something like chicken chop..

portion is big, chicken is tender... like it with the skin... It's nice!

served with 2 pieces of halved baked baby potatoes and salad veg

this is normal.. pesto sauce with penne pasta..

i dont mind eating this again though

Sizzling hot! Chicken is abt hard and fish is average... served with veg and potato 🥔

I like the potato!!! Especially with the toppings!

New England's fish and chips @ $15++

So hot and you will see smoke from the fish when you cut it.... Very soft at the inside and crispy at the outside.... Served with thick big fries and salad

There's another breaded fish also looks good! Shall try it the next time

Add $6.80++ for value meal and get a soup of the day + garlic bread + dessert = ice cream

Garlic bread is hot crispy! Don't wait till it's cold.... Soup is okok, not creamy type, slightly diluted

It's really worth it, with the lunch special... Big portion, nice food.. and it's packed, full house... But don't have to q
