located along a PCN in a community centre, always 🚲🚲 pass and it's always packed, so we decided to give it a try yesterday... By foot, it's quite a long walk though

Really not very accessible by public transport...

Quite a big place with indoors and outdoor seats serving different cuisine...

read reviews that only the Chinese food is good, but we don't see ppl eating them.. so weird 🤔

wanted to try the pizza 🍕 but the wait was 1hr + .. imagine the crowd..

in the end we chose grilled chicken and basil pesto

this was way beyond expectation! Yes! I go like "waa" cos I'm expecting something like chicken chop..

portion is big, chicken is tender... like it with the skin... It's nice!

served with 2 pieces of halved baked baby potatoes and salad veg

Basil pesto @ $16

this is normal.. pesto sauce with penne pasta..

i dont mind eating this again though

portion of sauce is sufficient, served with brown mushroom.. mixed in the sauce but don't think is cooked tgt

nice food, good location if you are staying nearby or a cyclist..

This stall located at the back entrance... attracted my attention by it's bright colored signboard and the q... Ya when I return to take pic there's no q alr

It's a halal western stall, reasonable priced and the portion is really big! Yes, for $6, get to choose a base (Aglio olio or butter rice), protein ( fish or chicken), 2 sides and sauce

We had both Aglio olio as the base cos buttered rice has ran out

grilled fish with sides --- fries, coleslaw

crispy fish, with sides --- mashed potatoes, garlic bread

Garlic bread I believe is self prepared... Very strong pranta taste...

portion is so huge tt we shared 1 portion of Aglio olio, proteins and sides... Yup, even my husband a big eater cannot finish it!

i find the food so so... Very very salty, especially the pasta... Fish too is too salty, fries with salt.. yup only the mash potatoes is not

Hmmmm at first was thinking maybe next time we will come back for other food but after we had our dinner.. had a second thought.... Really too salty

dinner at a neighborhood Cafe, SOD Cafe 

Pork chop is soft and tender, goes well with the black pepper sauce served with hot fries

waffle w ice cream

am abit disappointed with the waffle though... it shrink by nearly half! from the last time I ate
but it still taste great! waffle is crispy and smell nice with a scoop of dark chocolate icecream 😋

The White Kitchen, a small cozy cafe located in the west of Singapore, Jurong Jcube

They served a variety of food... Japanese, pasta, western and some desserts too

this place is recommended by my sis... She said she brought a few friends and they also said the food here is nice and she is in 😍 with the Risotto

Risotto (truffle mushroom)

@ $12.50 according to my sis, its usually salty so today's order is less salty but still unhealthy is usually nicer...

Fish & Chips (you can choose 2 sides - onion ring, pasta, fries, salad, ....) @ $11.50

portion is quite big.. hmm is nice but nothing very special
Something to mention.. salad 🥗 looks average but it actually is very nice cos of the dressing! It's so special 😋😋

they don't charge GST not service charge.. it will be the nett amt you see.... Price is reasonable too!

Jurong has so many shopping malls and so many shops... and we came to this Thai restaurant that my sis recommended too

I'm back again at 49 seats... Cos of husband's craving and I miss their fries too! But no more cheese fries today... Too much for our stomach to contain.. go in bigger group like 4 and order cheese fries to share!

We had fish & chips with alscampi sauce
The fish 🐟 is so crispy and soft at the inside...
a big piece of fish with 2 sides where you can choose from salad 🥗, mash potato 🥔, fries 🍟, pasta salad

Lunch special runs from 1130am to 5pm on weekdays.. $14.90 nett for a main course (you can choose any main course from the menu!) + mushroom soup + drink

home cooked western food PORK CHOP W MUSHROOM SAUCE + MASH POTATO + BROCOLLI

Another day of home cooked western food, pork chop w mushroom sauce + mash potato + broccoli cos another crave for mash potato from my husband again...

improved version of mash potato from last week's... this time, we had 4 potatoes and 125ml of milk

A new attempt, the mushroom sauce
 

its quite easy... so give it a try!

how to make mushroom sauce
pan-fry sliced 200g mushrooms.. im using button mushroom, dish out

in low heat, melt half a tablespoon of butter in pan and add (200ml milk mix with 1 tablespoon of flour)
stir, add salt + pepper + turmeric powder (optional) till mixture is abit thickened

add mushrooms in and mix well

and its ready to serve!

It's a stall located at a coffee shop with some seats allocated just for this stall

Salmon with sweet potato 🍠 fries 🍟 + corn 🌽 + tomato 🍅
salmon is nice, hmm normal
the corn is nice too! soft enough with very light buttery taste
fries is hot!

Salmon with Cajun fries 🍟 + egg 🍳 + broccoli 🥦
fries is hot! I prefer Cajun fries to sweet potato fries cos of the seasoning makes it more tasty!

The price is ok.. this 2 dishes cost us $26 (inclusive of GST)
you get to choose 1 protein + 1 carbo + 2 veg
there are ala carte dishes too such as pasta

finally, its the end of #circuitbreakerSG, after mths of no dine-out.. this is what we have been carving for... cheese fries at 49seats!
piping hot fries with generous amt of cheese and mayo

yes, if you look at my older posts, i have been here are more friends to dine at 49seats

chicken chop w mushroom sauce is what I crave for too!

the portion for all dishes are so huge.. one dish is more than enough for one... getting another to share is just too much for 2 pax

Yes Soup Spoon Union is available island wide across Singapore but there's something different at Changi City Point branch

Fish and chips set.. comes with drink and pumpkin soup

Food is served pipping hot! See the smoke when you cut

So what is so special abt Changi City Point branch? It's the fries!! Yes never never miss their fries! Comparing to other branches fries here is very different.. The crispness of the fries, yum!

this is a must order! we got this to share among 6 of us out of goodwill of a friend...
the fries is hot and goes so well with the cheese! once you start eating, you wont stop! especially if you are a cheese and fries person!

Smoked Duck Aglio Olio Pasta
this dish was for my sis, she's a duck fan...
all of us feels its so-so only...
personally I find it abit too salty and oily

Chicken Chop with 2 portion of Veg Salad
yes, its a "on-diet" friend... tt explains the 2 portion of veg salad

Chicken Chop with Fries and Mash Potato
this is also one of the must have!
chicken is so tender with the mushroom brown sauce.. im definitely going to order this again when I come the next time
the fries is as nice too! mash potato I should say its normal, not really but fantastic, abit dry though

Salted Egg Tom Yam Pasta
the spicy level is so high!!this friend claimed that he can take spiciness and so daringly he ordered this and he surrendered.. ate half of it and sweated so badly..so do think twice before taking up the challenge!
