It's nice but find it abit costly... $9.90+ each

though it may look small, not it's filling enough for a meal for me!

sauced Jap rice with some sesame, flakes and mentai mayo, sandwiching egg and Jap cucumbers 

Supamu is like luncheon meat but it's nice!!!!

i prefer this 

Salmon, don't expect full piece of salmon, only the centre.. its coated with flour I think and crumbs

eating ichiban sushi quite frequently and this is something new..

grilled jap dried red perch, tuna sashimi with garlic chilli oil, crispy chicken, gyoza with chilli teriyaki sauce 

Not forgetting to get some sushi 🍣 too! and these 2 are my favourite

crispy dory maki @ $2.90++

small piece of crispy dory fish and cheese wrapped in jap rice mixed with seaweed stripes

topped with 2 small pieces of cheese, and some salad veg

potato salad inari @ $2.40++

jap rice wrapped in beancurd skin, topped with potato salad, small piece of cheese and sauce

VOLCANO RAMEN @ northpoint city

Volcano Ramen.. indeed it taste different from the normal ramen we always eat

and we chose soup base tt is unusual.. 

Kazan Curry @$18.80++

curry is not very spicy, like normal Jap curry, comes with Cha shu, abit of bean sprouts and cabbage

 

Hinomaru Tomato Kazan 🍅 @ $15.80++

comes with a whole tomato 🍅 with skin removed, some cabbage and lots of bean sprouts.. no meat served

thick ramen is being used and the texture is just nice.. not too soft nor too hard

both ramen comes with a hard boiled egg 🥚 and some shredded cheese 🧀 served separately

served in a hotpot, the sauce is poured and covered.. while waiting, seeing the smoke oozing out from the top of the cover, you will get to smell the soup 😋 especially the curry one

heres how you should do it.. but the staff is helpful and friendly to assist

all volcano ramen comes with rice 🍚.. which is served after we have finished the ramen... so leave some soup!

the rice is really nice!!😍 it's sticky and taste different from typical Jap rice...

posters states that the rice were self grown in Shiga Prefecture... must try!!!

but I will definitely come back again for the volcano ramen..

Men-ichi serves mainly ramen and some don

various choices of soup such as tonkotsu, miso, shoyu.. and further choose between original, w garlic oil or w chilli oil
thick or thin noodles option available too!

this is what we had for ramen

Teriyaki Salmon Ramen @ $15.90

soup option is not available for this.. tonkotsu soup

4 pcs Cha Shu Ramen, tonkotsu soup w garlic oil @ $16.90

this is thin noodles

soup broth is not very thick.. garlic oil is not very strong too but its makes it more salty and oily then the original

cha shu is nice, quite standard

and thick noodles

teriyaki salmon doesnt seems to go well with soup

salmon itself is normal but soaked in soup makes it soft and soggy, no taste of teriyaki sauce too

if you know of the big Jap food chain R&S, dine and get rewards

so we redeemed this 2 items

chicken goyza

feels like its not cooked long enough for half of them.. or this is the way they do it.. half are more crispy and half are not

taste wise is average

corn salad 🥗

also normal.. quite a big portion for a side dish salad

rice is normal Japanese rice 🍚, both having the same sauce but abit too salty

craved for some ramen, and North Point City is crowded! and this restaurant is not having a long q.. theres more than 1 Japanese ramen in the mall... so competitive!

they serve mostly ramen and some rice dons

noodle is chewy with thick garlicy broth.. nothing really special... but its nice

MACCHA HOUSE @ orchard central

its hard to not q for food at central area on a weekend. we see that its the shortest q at Maccha House and we decided to dine here since we are a fan of matcha too! however, we are disappointed with the service and food here though.. food were served timely, but customers in the q were ignored even though there are available tables

look at the egg..... so broken and the seaweed have turned soggy... looks like these was prepared quite sometime alr?

soup is quite diluted and noodle is overcooked

Chicken Cha Yuzu Soba @ $12.99++

the same, diluted soup and overcooked noodle.

its just a few small pieces of yuzu, and theres no yuzu taste in the soup

even so, i do like the traditional matcha.. matcha powder and hot water served separately.. matcha taste is so strong tt is so different from typical hot green tea

as the name Maccha House suggest, i believe the drinks and desserts will be worth trying instead of the main courses
