SHAKE SHACK @ suntec city

shake shack, was having such looooong q when they first came to Singapore at Changi Jewel.. q wait can be up to 2 hrs or so! of cos im not one of them contributing to the q..
gradually, more and more branches were opened
and here we are, at Suntec City branch... there was a q too! but definitely not tt long.. we waited for 20+mins.. the seating capacity was quite large so the q actually do moves..
mostly serves burger (abt half are beef.. so if you dont take beef, not much choices left), hotdog bun and fries
size of burger is slightly smaller than McDonald's
Shroom Burger @ $10.80

a few pieces of portobello mushrooms in a breaded patty.. abit juicy from the mushrooms 🍄
prefer this to the other

Chick n Shack @ $9.20
chicken breast breaded patty
find it abit dry..
both burger is thick, lettuce and cheese sandwiched with 2 piece of burger bun
fries is served hot, but taste normal, nothing special...

home cooked PASTA MUSHROOM SAUCE LINGUINE

i'm a lucky winner for a giveaway by @foodxervicesinc for assorted packs of pastas, and this is one of them.. my favourite Linguine
im using this to prepare mushroom sauce linguine!
heat oil and garlic
pan-fry sliced 250g mushrooms.. im using button mushroom with salt and turmeric powder
dish out
in low heat, melt half a tablespoon of butter in pan and add (250ml milk mix with 1 tablespoon of flour)
stir, add salt + pepper + turmeric powder (optional) till mixture is a bit thickened
add mushrooms in and mix well.. set aside
place linguine into boiling water for 8 mins (according to package instruction).. dish out into frying pan with a bit of oil

add in the mushroom sauce and mix well with low heat
and its ready to serve!

MANNA KOREAN RESTAURANT @ city changi point

Changi City Point is rather empty, so dont have to q for food
Seems like only this restaurant has q, so we went to try and also thinking if the food can replace my favorite Yoogane which alr ceased operation in SG on 1 Nov2020
this is what we were served when we sat down.. kimchi, ikan billis, cabbage +cucumber salad, bean sprout + beans
O-Bulgogi $19.80++ served with rice and soup
soup is abit cold though
3 options available (beef, chicken or pork)
I chose pork and its not bad but still not as good as Yoogane but there's much more ingredients and portion is bigger too! There's emiko mushroom, onions, vermicelli, squid.. it enough for 2 pax though it's stated 1 pax
Jjamppong $14.80++
quite generous amt of seafood
however, felt the noodles a bit too soggy and the soup too salty
If you see my older post, i prefer Jjamppong at Nipong Naepong though it's more pricy
only 3/4 filled barley drink @ $1

Overall, find the food too salty.. and yes there is msg!

Hokey poki @ paya lebar quarter (plq) add pic

We were at Paya Lebar, looking for dinner and saw this Japanese restaurant at PLQ
Small and simple with comfortable sitting
Everything in the menu just looks so nice! There's don, sushi 🍣, sashimi, salad 🥗, burgers 🍔, udon, maki... A very wide variety but I see most ppl are eating don... read further for the menu
Saba Teriyaki Don @ $8.90++
portion is not very big.. just enough for a small eater.. the portion of Saba fish is reasonable with sufficient sauce and seaweed makes it even nicer
however, my husband was saying tt this may contain msg.. so we were kind of disappointed..
Chicken Mentai Burger @ $12.90++
looks good ya? 😍
Served with fried fish skin? But it's not really very crispy though
A piece of grilled chicken with much mentai sauce with a sunny-up 🍳 between buttered charcoal buns

i definitely recommend and will come back for this! 👍
Korean Pancake @ $4.90++
its very thin..but as this price, cant expect much
theres a small piece of prawn in the centre and the rest are flour with spring onions i guess
but pancake is well made, so crispy, topped with mayo, mentai sauce and seaweeds!
a pot of hot green tea (enough for 3-4pax)  @ $3.50++

NIPONG NAEPONG @ 313 somerset

I'm back for Korean ppong and iron plate rice! Had pizza during my previous visit (can see my previous post), so today tried something else.. most of the dishes are seafood and spicy..
Hallasan Volcano Iron Plate Rice, $14.90++, looks good ya? 😋
This dish is spicy!! 🌶️🌶️ But somehow you will still want to eat it!
The rice is mixed with seaweed, ebiko and pickled radish...
served with 2 small portions of kimchi, adding the level of spiciness with a sourish touch
top with this special spicy sauce served separately (there's minced pork, onion, etc) to pour it over
caution: its this sauce tts spicy! dont pour all of them first!
i like the soup of Cha Ppong! So today we tried another soup based ppong - To Ppong Tomato 🍅 $16.90++
This soup is not spicy and the noodle is still so nice, springy and chewy!!

KAGURAZAKA SARYO @ vivocity

after stayca from Chinatown, came to Vivo, only a few stops from Chinatown... and theres a new Donki outlet opening at Habourfront Centre! so lunch at Vivo! this is also recommended by my sis... shes a "rice in soup" person

a Japanese restaurant tt sells rice soup matcha desserts, matcha latte and fruit tarts (from fruit paradise)
if you like matcha, they have matcha milk tea, matcha mochi!
Chicken Tom Yum
Rice soup, this is what I name them
Japanese rice 🍚 in soup, there's a few of soup to choose from and the type of meat
Tom yum soup with marinated chicken pieces (believe is marinated with teriyaki) the chicken is tender! It's light spicy
Shabu Kimuchi, tonkotsu soup with shabu shabu pork (thinly sliced pork)
Each ala carte comes with pickles, and mashed potato
on the menu, it states mild spicy, ok it's not spicy... It's just the kimchi in the soup
