PARIS BAGUETTE @ northpoint city

a drink and dessert after dinner.. its full house at abt 9pm.. but the staff is kind enough to approach customers who alr finished their drinks to give up their seats

coffee/tea, blueberry yogurt cheese tart and mini croissants
croissants is soso... looks crispy but is not..maybe heating up abit would be better
blueberry yogurt cheese tart is not very sweet, mixture of blueberries and yogurt sandwiched between 2 thin slice of cake
the base and side is the puff-tart type.. personally prefer biscuit.. but overall still nice..

PIZZA HUT @ north point city

a catch up with Peng after 2 years+ for a dinner on a Fri nite.. both of them recommended "Christmas Pizza" from Pizza Hut.. ok i have to admit that my impression of pizzas at Pizza Hut are average, but they really said its so so good.. so got to give it a try

Christmas Pan Pizza looks so pretty on advertisements and menu but my sis was disappointed when served and much more after having a few bites
does this pizza gives the Christmas feel? theres no red flakes... we asked the staff and she said "oh no more stock".. to the 2 of them, they said tt the flakes does makes a difference to the taste of pizza too
they also commented that the cheese used as different too! yaa, all the negative comments...

we also tried this, Christmas dish.. ghost pepper chicken
its super spicy!! even the one who loves spicy said its spicy too!

there are 3 sizes and 3 types.. you can see it in the menu
portion is standard wanton mee serving...

its nice.. above average is what my husband says
however, its abit more salty especially the soup
can tell from pic, a generous amt of pork lard! char siew is nice and noodle is quite chewy 👍
heres the menu.. they serves quite a few side dishes... but i dont really see ppl ordering them... most of them are just having wanton mee

MACCHA HOUSE @ orchard central

its hard to not q for food at central area on a weekend. we see that its the shortest q at Maccha House and we decided to dine here since we are a fan of matcha too! however, we are disappointed with the service and food here though.. food were served timely, but customers in the q were ignored even though there are available tables

this is what we have ordered..

Tonkotsu Ramen @ $11.99++

look at the egg..... so broken and the seaweed have turned soggy... looks like these was prepared quite sometime alr?
soup is quite diluted and noodle is overcooked
Chicken Cha Yuzu Soba @ $12.99++
the same, diluted soup and overcooked noodle.
its just a few small pieces of yuzu, and theres no yuzu taste in the soup
even so, i do like the traditional matcha.. matcha powder and hot water served separately.. matcha taste is so strong tt is so different from typical hot green tea

this is the menu

as the name Maccha House suggest, i believe the drinks and desserts will be worth trying instead of the main courses

OVERLY PIZZA @ hougang ave 5

Pizza! 🍕
got a flyer (which is the menu) in my letterbox and my husband decided to give it a try..
thinking it was cafe, but actually no.. only pick-up and delivery available

Hokkaido Teri Chicken
its very rich in taste, and flavorful... its nice!😍 the sauce is special
Cheesy Cannonballs
as the name suggest, the "balls" on the pizza are cheese 🧀... cheese powder type.. if you like cheese, you will definitely like this!
Both regular, classic crust which I believe is thin crust.. crust is perfectly baked
this is the menu
got them at a promo price of 2 for $22.. which is quite big... more than enough for 2 pax.. if you sides, its enough for 3 pax to share
and according to the staff, these are the new pizza toppings

shake shack, was having such looooong q when they first came to Singapore at Changi Jewel.. q wait can be up to 2 hrs or so! of cos im not one of them contributing to the q..
gradually, more and more branches were opened
and here we are, at Suntec City branch... there was a q too! but definitely not tt long.. we waited for 20+mins.. the seating capacity was quite large so the q actually do moves..
mostly serves burger (abt half are beef.. so if you dont take beef, not much choices left), hotdog bun and fries
size of burger is slightly smaller than McDonald's
Shroom Burger @ $10.80

a few pieces of portobello mushrooms in a breaded patty.. abit juicy from the mushrooms 🍄
prefer this to the other

Chick n Shack @ $9.20

home cooked PASTA MUSHROOM SAUCE LINGUINE

i'm a lucky winner for a giveaway by @foodxervicesinc for assorted packs of pastas, and this is one of them.. my favourite Linguine
im using this to prepare mushroom sauce linguine!
heat oil and garlic
pan-fry sliced 250g mushrooms.. im using button mushroom with salt and turmeric powder
dish out
in low heat, melt half a tablespoon of butter in pan and add (250ml milk mix with 1 tablespoon of flour)
stir, add salt + pepper + turmeric powder (optional) till mixture is a bit thickened
add mushrooms in and mix well.. set aside
place linguine into boiling water for 8 mins (according to package instruction).. dish out into frying pan with a bit of oil

add in the mushroom sauce and mix well with low heat
and its ready to serve!

MANNA KOREAN RESTAURANT @ city changi point

Changi City Point is rather empty, so dont have to q for food
Seems like only this restaurant has q, so we went to try and also thinking if the food can replace my favorite Yoogane which alr ceased operation in SG on 1 Nov2020
this is what we were served when we sat down.. kimchi, ikan billis, cabbage +cucumber salad, bean sprout + beans
O-Bulgogi $19.80++ served with rice and soup
soup is abit cold though
3 options available (beef, chicken or pork)
I chose pork and its not bad but still not as good as Yoogane but there's much more ingredients and portion is bigger too! There's emiko mushroom, onions, vermicelli, squid.. it enough for 2 pax though it's stated 1 pax
Jjamppong $14.80++
quite generous amt of seafood
however, felt the noodles a bit too soggy and the soup too salty
If you see my older post, i prefer Jjamppong at Nipong Naepong though it's more pricy
only 3/4 filled barley drink @ $1

Overall, find the food too salty.. and yes there is msg!
