THE WHITE KITCHEN @ jcube add pic add text for thai mango salad

The White Kitchen, a small cozy cafe located in the west of Singapore, Jurong Jcube

They served a variety of food... Japanese, pasta, western and some desserts too
this place is recommended by my sis... She said she brought a few friends and they also said the food here is nice and she is in 😍 with the Risotto

Risotto (truffle mushroom)
@ $12.50 according to my sis, its usually salty so today's order is less salty but still unhealthy is usually nicer...

Fish & Chips (you can choose 2 sides - onion ring, pasta, fries, salad, ....) @ $11.50
portion is quite big.. hmm is nice but nothing very special
Something to mention.. salad 🥗 looks average but it actually is very nice cos of the dressing! It's so special 😋😋

they don't charge GST not service charge.. it will be the nett amt you see.... Price is reasonable too!

YOOGANE @ westgate

Yoogane is the first Korean food I have few years, and this is the 3rd time I'm eating (but got to travel from north east to west of Singapore)
They used to have a few branches but now Westgate is only in Singapore!

my long long craving satisfied!
kimchi pancake is a must try! @$14.80++
though abit too oily, but still so nice!
theres alot of kimchi in there, not just flour only!
the sides are perfectly cooked, hot and crispy

chicken bulgogi (small) served in a hot plate - portion for a pax.. comes in 3 sizes.. if were to have a bigger portion, will be served in a " pan"
includes chicken, leek, mushroom, capsicum, rice cake costing $16.80++
topped up for the ramyeon noodles (looks like but taste better than instant noodle) at $3.80++

It's abit pricy... But it's really nice 😋😋
Good thing is won't get thirsty after meal... So I guess minimum or no MSG? 🙋

OSAKA OHSHO @ junction8

So long since I came.. but this time is not that nice as it was before
pork chop fried rice.. hmm, pork chop is abit too oily and fried rice is normal, nothing special... And it may contain MSG?...so thirsty after meal...

gyoza is nice! It's was well grilled and the juiciness of the meat inside...
Also tried the ramen but forgot to take pic of it... It's also average and you can get ramen elsewhere.. find the the soup is not thick enough

Do you know that there's still a kampong in our city, Singapore?
Yes there is! Located between hougang and buangkok MRT and its the last kampong in Singapore!

It's not a very big one...it take abt less than half an hr to walk the whole area.. of cos you don't get to go in the houses... Quite a number of houses, abt 10+-
abit disappointed cos dont really get to see the kampong life... no farm animals too

had this special ramen, pumpkin with chicken broth soup.. sounds special ya? I'm not a pumpkin fan, but I like pumpkin soup
It's unique and don't think everybody can accept it... My husband thinks it's too sweet... Better as a dessert 😅
however, the noodle today is a bit more soft.. not as chewy as it was.. but still nice
price is reasonable @ $12.90++ with a drink
Toroniku Uobushi @ $13.90++

OTOKO add pic

We are back at Otoko Japanese Food

Mostly selling Don and Udon abt $9 - $10

Tried their #1.. Aburi Salmon Belly on Mini Onigiri $10.80

and Chicken Teriyaki Don $9.80

I like the Onigiri! There's seaweed and sesame in the rice 😋 but salmon is rather raw though

Chicken Teriyaki Don is normal.. chicken is tender and a generous amt of teriyaki sauce so it won't feel dry

NIPONG NAEPONG @ 313 somerset

Nipong Naepong.. Korean ppong and pizza 🍕
this restaurant was introduced by my sister... "must try"... even though she knows that I don't take seafood and my spiciness tolerance level is low
and most of the dishes are seafood and spicy (i see different level of spiciness - mild, level 1, level 2 for different dishes)
Cha Ppong
soup bases Ppong is the most popular I guess... i see that most ppl were sipping hot and spicy noodles!

I like the soup of Cha Ppong! Though the spicy level is 1, but it's alr very spicy to me... Yes, this is the spicy tolerance level I have... But somehow you will still want to drink more

noodle is springy and chewy.. nice!
sweet potato pizza 🍕
I had a pizza for myself.. though it's nice but not really that worth it.. hmm abit too dry to have it as a main course... Will be better for sharing
But the pizza 🍕 is sweet and savoury... So it's special in its own way
They serve bubble tea too! From The Alley
their menu.. a wide variety

ROASTED POTATOES homecook

my first attempt on roasted potatoes, and it was a success! And also the first time I'm using Korea veg! Always watched Korean dramas and I finally get my hands on some fruits and veg from kFreshZone .. fresh ingredient indeed!

was rather easy to prepare but it takes quite abit of time on roasting

preparation time was abt 5-10mins...
cut washed baby potatoes,
tossed them with salt, pepper and olive oil
placed them in pre-heated oven with aluminum foil
and you are done with preparation!
set oven to 200degrees

rmb to flip them once in awhile to prevent sticking and also to ensure that all are equally done
abt 1 hour later... there this is done!
my mum's comment was "hmm of so many things I have cooked, this is the nicest!" 😋
